Quick Facts

  • The club commenced in 1935
  • We are centrally located within the township of Port Broughton in Upper Yorke Peninsula.
  • Port Broughton is only two hours drive from Adelaide and just over half an hour drive from Kadina or Port Pirie
  • Our green facilities cater for up to 72 players at one time.
  • Pennant competitions comprise 4 sides and 15 teams entered in men’s, ladies and open across Divisions 1 and 2.
  • We have an active weekly social competition in the off season.  This competition enables participation by visitors to the community and tourists as well as regular members, new bowlers and those seeking to improve their skills.
  • An indoor bowls competition is held (each Tuesday from 1 pm for 1:30 pm start) all year round.
  • Our facilities are used extensively for community functions and events.
  • We regularly instigate fund raising events directing proceeds to worthwhile charitable causes.
  • The Club hosts several Bowls Tournaments per annum with clubs competing from across South Australia.
  • We are run totally by volunteers with no paid employees and no honorarium for positions.
  • We’re a great Club to be part of.
